A lockdown defender for the state champion Pella boys soccer team will have one last chance to play as a high school athlete this weekend.

Joe Bacon was named to the East Team of the Iowa High School Soccer Coaches Association 2018 Iowa East-West All-Star Cup game Saturday evening. Bacon was named the captain of the Class 2A All-Tournament Team for his incredible defense in the state championship run for the Little Dutch.
