With Thursday’s rain moving the venue back to Indianola, Pella Christian was still unable to find wins against a pair of top five teams.

The Eagles baseball team lost 10-0, 6-4 to No. 5 in 4A Indianola. Pella Christian’s bats stayed quiet in game one, but jumped to a 4-1 lead in game two — behind Will Dembski’s seventh home run of the season, but ultimate, the Pella Christian pitching staff couldn’t slow down Indianola in the final few innings.

Pella Christian drops to 6-13. The softball girls lost 14-1 in three innings to the No. 4 Indians. Bailey Roose scored a run after a single in her only trip to the plate. The Eagles drop to 4-18. Softball hosts Oskaloosa for a doubleheader Thursday, while the baseball team heads to Grinnell on Friday.
