North Overlook Beach is the place to be for Red Rock Balloonfest Activities next week.

Pella Convention and Visitors Bureau Director Jill Vandevoort tells KNIA/KRLS News all activities will be centered at the beach, as it is the best spot to see pilots fly their balloons during the four launches scheduled July 6th through the 8th. Vandevoort says live music and food vendors will be set up at the beach for both the Friday and Saturday evening launches and Night Glow events.

6:00-10:00 pm – Thistle and Lace
6:30 pm Opening launch*. Iowa State Savings Bank Cup Race. Food and drink on beach.
7:00 pm Meet Bobber the Safety Dog (North Overlook Beach) – offered by Army Corps of Engineers
9:00 pm Night Glow at North Overlook Beach

SATURDAY, JULY 7, 2018

6:30 am Morning balloon launch*
7:00 am Pancake Breakfast!
8:00 am 5K and 10K FUNdraiser Run ($25 Registration) – North Overlook Beach
9:00 – 11:00 am “Let’s Go Paddling!” – offered by Army Corps of Engineers
3:00 pm Butterfly Safari – offered by Army Corps of Engineers
6:00-10:00 pm – The Establishment
6:30 pm Evening Balloon Launch*
9:00 pm Night Glow at North Overlook Beach
