The Knoxville Community School District recently reported that all of their academic achievement goals were met for the 2017/18 school year.

Superintendent Cassi Pearson tells KNIA/KRLS News the schools met their math, reading, and science goals, as well as seeing improvement in student behavior. Pearson said that most of the credit for the drop in bullying and expulsion cases goes to the students because they are staying very aware of the national movement to stop bullying and are taking responsibility for how they treat others. Pearson also said that of the 124 graduating seniors, 93% plan on staying in Iowa to attend college or work.
