A seven-member team from Central College has been selected to attend the American Association of Colleges and Universities 2018 Institute on Integrative Learning and Signature Work at Boston University this month.
At the institute, Central’s team will explore how to help students better integrate everything they’re learning in their classes, their co-curricular activities and in their service, work and life experiences. They’ll also explore “signature work” like capstone projects that integrate and apply student learning to complex problems and projects that are important to students and to society.
Attending the workshop will be Associate Dean of Students Brian Peterson; Sara Bergman, assistant professor of accounting; Leslie Duinink, associate professor of exercise science and interim registrar; Linda Laine, professor of communications studies; Lee Macomber, assistant professor of biology; Timothy Olin, assistant professor of history; and Charles Strey, dean of students.
