If the Knoxville Baseball squad was looking for a signature win last night against Indianola, the Panthers got it in impressive fashion. Knoxville toppled the class 4A number three ranked Indians 6-0. The Panthers out hit Indianola 12-3. Rylan Cox and R.J. Roberts kept Indianola off balance all night from the mound. The Panthers now go on another weekend excursion. Today they travel to Independence for a single varsity contest, then get the honor of playing at Duane Banks Field, home of the Iowa Hawkeye Baseball Squad on Sunday, against Fort Madison in a double header. Coach Matt Miller tells KNIA/KRLS Sports this weekend serves as a chance to get away and play teams they would not normally see during the season in a college facility. The Panthers are now 24-11 on the season and have won nine of their last ten games.
