Part one of the Knoxville Baseball Squad’s weekend excursion was successful as the Panthers beat Independence 10-6 yesterday. The Panthers jumped out to a 5-1 lead after four innings and shut the door with five more in the sixth. Kaleb Streigle got the win going four complete with five strikeouts. The Panthers are now 25-11 on the season and will travel to Duane Banks Field in Iowa City to battle Fort Madison in a double header today.
