Pella Christian is aiming to keep their season alive when they hit the road to Centerville tonight in the Class 2A District Playoffs.
The Eagles will compete against the Big Reds, the program that knocked P.C. out of the postseason in 2017. Head Coach Jeff Bruxvoort tells KNIA/KRLS News the team will have to play top-level baseball to knock off Centerville at their home field.
“Centerville has been good all year,” he says. “They pitch well, they’re experienced–a lot of positive things come from them and we’re going to have to bring our best baseball.”
Centerville finished in 2nd place in the South Central Conference to Knoxville, and has a 21-7 overall record. Coverage from the home of the Big Reds begins after game one of the doubleheader, with pregame starting at approximately 6:45 p.m. and opening pitch scheduled at 7:00 on 92.1 KRLS.
