Pella begins their baseball playoff journey this evening.
The Little Dutch travel to North Polk in Alleman to take on Bondurant-Farrar in the opening round of the district playoffs in Class 3A. Head Coach Jesse Jablonski says the teams met back on May 23rd in a 6-5 loss — but he thinks both teams weren’t playing at the level they are now, and he anticipates a close matchup.
“We didn’t their number one, and they didn’t see our number one either,” he says. “That’s a team that we play against every year, so we are fairly familiar with their tendencies and we’ve got plenty of spray charts and scouting on them, so I look forward to a very good ball game.”
