It was a year of experience and growth for the PCM softball team in 2018.
With only three seniors, many young players were forced into action at positions they might have been unfamiliar with. Despite the inexperience, head coach of the Mustangs Scott Bridges tells KNIA/KRLS Sports the players were open to new roles.
“We had a lot of people step up and learn a new position and even though it was difficult, they kept a really good attitude and got better by the end of the season.” The Mustangs only had five players with significant playing time coming into the year, as eight girls were gone from the 2017 squad.
PCM finished the year 2-15.
