The Pella School Board will discuss legislative priorities for the upcoming session at the second of two summer meetings today.
The board will review what they’d like to advocate for with the Iowa Association of School Boards. Additionally, they will appoint a representative for an upcoming Tax Increment Financing amendment meeting for the Southwest Urban Renewal Area, review the district’s policy for gifts, grants, and bequests, and consider changes to the district’s teacher evaluation process. Additionally, the board will review the school’s financial position ahead of potential cost cutting measures in the upcoming fiscal year budget process. The Pella School Board meeting begins at 4:30 p.m. in the Pella High School main office conference room.
