The Top 10 countdown continues for PCM sports for 2017-18 with number two.
The spring was kind to the PCM track team in 2018 and it all culminated at the Blue Oval for the state championships. No Mustang had a better time in Des Moines than Noah Anderson, as he conquered a state title in the 200m dash. In his final high school race, the senior bested the whole class 2A field with a time of 21.79 seconds. Anderson tells KNIA/KRLS Sports it being his final race there was one goal in mind and he had to go get it. The day capped off an already successful championship Saturday at the Blue Oval, as he also finished second in the 200m dash. Teammate Preston Van Wyk placed in the top five in both of those races as well and Anderson was quick to give him credit for always being pushed in practice.
The duo helped the Mustangs to a fifth place team finish at state with 35 points.
