A portion of Montgomery St. in Knoxville will be closed starting today due to the library expansion project.
The closed portion, between 2nd and 3rd St., will serve as a staging area for the contractor as the expanding building area will no longer allow through traffic. The intersection of 3rd and Montgomery will be open for north/south traffic to access City Hall and the city parking lot. The street is expected to closed long-term.
