A conference championship means plenty of representatives on the all-conference teams. That was the case for the Pleasantville baseball squad, as seven players were named to the Pride of Iowa All-Conference teams.
Four players were named to the first team headlined by unanimous selection Kyle Amendt. The senior pitcher posted a 2.26 ERA in 43 1/3 innings of work on the bump with a .167 opponent batting average. Colton Major was also a first team pitcher, as he had a 2.15 ERA in 42 1/3 innings of work. The duo each recorded a no-hitter during the year. Quintin Berglund was selected as an infielder. The junior’s .404 batting average led the team and he knocked in 31 runs on the year. Cael Lester rounded out the first team selections as an outfielder. Lester posted a respectable .388 batting average and recorded a team-high 32 RBI.
Second team selections included Owen Worthington, Grant Fouch, and Gauge Van Haalen. Worthington had a .311 batting average, Fouch had a 2.27 ERA on the bump, and Van Haalen led the team with 18 stolen bases.
The Trojans finished the year 23-12.
