A Lovilla man charged with possession of methamphetamine agreed to a plea deal Thursday.
Patrick Anderson, 52, was charged in April of possession of methamphetamine between 5g-100g, a class B felony, possession of drug paraphernalia, OWI first offense, and carrying weapons 6-8 inches in length after a traffic stop. Anderson agreed to the plea deal, which drops the drug charge to possession of less than 5g of meth and drops the weapons and paraphernalia charges. Anderson faces 10 years in prison for the drug charges, and one year for the OWI. Both the state and the defense are recommending a suspended sentence, with a sentencing date scheduled for September 13th.
