The Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association recently released its Academic All-State Teams and Pleasantville’s Colton Major was recognized.
The senior was one of 22 players in the entire state named to the first team. Each player was nominated by their coach and demonstrated outstanding academic, moral, and athletic characteristics. First team members were honored at the All-Star Banquet this past Saturday at the Marriott Hotel Banquet Center in Iowa City. Major becomes just the fifth Trojan player to receive this award in its 32 year existence.
The graduating senior will continue his baseball and academic career at Simpson College this fall.
