The Pella City Council will meet in regular session this evening and consider a wide range of resolutions.
The council will review the termination of an economic development agreement between Agile Manufacturing and the city after Agile indicated their business model no longer qualifies for state funds. A public hearing date will be set to award a bid for the Vermeer Trail Project, which includes a trail from Madison Elementary to the Vermeer Mile on the east side of 240th Avenue and will cost approximately $485,000.
The council will also consider the final contracts for public improvements to Caldwell Park, completion of a ring bus set up at the west electric substation, and the Washington Street and Highway 163 exit ramp intersection traffic upgrades. The second reading of an ordinance allowing minors into microbreweries when accompanied by a legal guardian over the age of 21 will also be held. At policy and planning following regular business, council will discuss repairs to the gymnasium roof at the Pella Community Center.
The Pella City Council meeting begins at 7 p.m. this evening in the Public Safety Complex on Liberty Street.
