The last several years PCM has gained a reputation as being a running school and they will look to keep that reputation up this fall, as the cross-country teams gear up for the season.
The girls’ team had a historical 2017, qualifying for the program’s first team state appearance. From that team a year ago, the Mustangs return three runners. Klaire Jungling leads the group placing 82nd at the state competition as a sophomore. On the boys’ side top returner includes Beau Webb who finished 28th at conference last season as a freshman.
The Mustangs have cut back on competitions with only six this year and it all gets started Thursday when they travel to Iowa State University.
