The American Rivers Conference coaches have picked the Central College football team to finish in second place in the preseason poll that was recently released.
Defending league champion Wartburg received 7 of the 9 first place votes and 63 points, while Central received 53 and Dubuque tallied 50.
The Dutch went 7-3 a season ago and finished second in league play with a 6-2 mark.  They’ll open the 2018 season with a non-conference contest on Labor Day Saturday at Northwestern in St. Paul, Minnesota.
