Area cross-country teams in Pella Christian, PCM, and Pleasantville traveled to Ames yesterday on the campus of Iowa State University for an invitational.
In the class A division PCM boys finished 12th out of 13 teams with a score of 267 points while Gilbert took home the title with 16. Jason Stafford paced the Mustangs in 28th (19:19) and Beau Webb was not far behind in 32nd (19:28). On the girls side the Mustangs finished sixth out of 12 teams with 192 points while North Polk won with 37. Klaire Jungling led the way in 24th (23:20) and Hannah Bouwkamp was 59th (25:23).
In the class B division Pella Christian boys were eighth with 198 points while the champs Madrid had 36. Brayton Juffer had the best Eagle finish in 25th (19:53) and Daniel Mora Demstri was 29th (20:14). Pleasantville finished 13th with 417 points and were paced by Jeremy Colboth in 113th (23:40). On the girls’ side Pleasantville was seventh with 144 points and Panorama won with 46. Jordan Dursky medaled for the Trojans placing 16th (24:01) and Emmie Kenyon was 23rd (24:35. The Eagles did not have enough runners for a team score but Annaliese Admiraal finished in 11th (23:22) and Sydney Hooyer was 24th (24:38).
