Two severe thunderstorm warnings were issued in Marion County for strong storms Tuesday afternoon.
The KNIA/KRLS Severe Weather Action Team was on the air from 4:45 to 5:30 p.m. for the two warnings impacting most of the county. Eight staff members contributed to the live coverage, as did trained weather spotters in the county and WeatherEye.
.85″ of rain fell at the KNIA/KRLS Studios in Knoxville, and .93 fell in Pella on the Molengracht. Additional rain reports:

Wind damage was reported in Pella and Knoxville, with numerous tree limbs and power lines reportedly down in those communities and surrounding areas. The KNIA/KRLS Severe Weather Action Team is on the air for any severe thunderstorm or tornado warning for any portion of Marion County, with backup generators ensuring the coverage stays on if the power goes out.
