Pleasantville FFA Treasurer Josie Houser has been selected to be part of an exchange program to travel to Kosovo to increase agricultural education in their country.
Josie and FFA sponsor Monty Collins will be traveling to Kosovo during the week of September 22-30, with students from Kosovo traveling to Pleasantville in April to attend the State FFA Leadership Conference and view other projects. Houser tells KNIA/KRLS News she needs community assistance to make this trip a reality.
“We have been going around to many local businesses and asking for help and that’s why we came to KNIA/KRLS, because it will cost $3,000 each for me and Mr. Collins to go making it a $6,000 trip, and it needs to be raised in such a short amount of time. I’m the only student in Marion and Warren County going so I have a chance to represent our area so if you want to support the trip by donating please do so”
The deadline for donations for this program is Sunday September 9th. To learn more about how to donate to the exchange program click below, and tune in to today’s In Depth with Dr. Bob Leonard.
