A contingent of seasoned veterans will spearhead the 2018 season for the Central College men’s soccer team as they try to rebound from a frustrating 2017 campaign The Dutch will return 16 letterwinners including eight starters for 2018.
A 10-6 overall mark last year was overshadowed by a 3-5 mark in league matches. The Dutch finished seventh and were on the outside looking in for the conference tournament. A rigorous schedule includes non-conference matches with NCAA Division III tournament qualifiers Westminster College (Mo.) and the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. The newly-renamed American Rivers Conference will provide eight tough matches, including against defending champions Loras College.
The Dutch will open the season in Platteville, Wisconsin on Friday, August 31 against the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
