The Pleasantville Trojan football team found the scoreboard but couldn’t hold on for the win against the Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont Rockets falling 17-13.
The Trojan defense gave the offense great field position to start the game and they took advantage with a Cael Anthony rushing touchdown for their first score of 2018. The Rockets took over after that however, scoring 17 unanswered before a late 4th quarter fumble ended up in another Cael Anthony rushing touchdown to make it 17-13. An onside kick attempt was unsuccessful, and the Rockets ran down the clock to force an 0-2 start for the Trojans. Head Coach Mack Jorth tells KNIA/KRLS Sports he was happy with how his team never gave up. Pleasantville moves on to host Earlham in week three.
