The 4th annual Team Challenge of Knights of Columbus Campaign for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities was completed in August.
Athletes from Pella and Pella Christian raised over $5200 for their peers with special needs during the week long event. The schools had a near even split, with the Dutch collecting $2627, and the Eagle at $2608.
Pella Lady Dutch Soccer raised the most money and won the revolving trophy, by collecting $1983 dollars, followed closely by Pella Christian Cross Country at $1419 and Pella Christian football at $1070.
The Knights of Columbus, in total, raised over $22,000 for the special education departments at Pella and Pella Christian, as well as Christian Opportunity Center and the Iowa Special Olympics.
