Drought throughout the region was mostly wiped out after numerous rounds of showers and thunderstorms since August 28th.
According to the latest report, Marion County and most of the surrounding area have been reduced to abnormally dry conditions, with moderate drought remaining in most of Lucas County. Since the latest report was released, anywhere between 2.5 to 7 inches of rain has fallen in Marion County, with the highest amounts generally along and north of the Des Moines river. Isolated, scattered chances for rain remain in place through Saturday morning.
