Vermeer Corporation is expanding on their campus along the mile with a new project.
CEO Jason Andringa announced this week the development of “Shop 48,” which calls back to the legacy of Gary Vermeer founding the corporation 70 years ago. Andringa says the facility will combine three off-site engineering locations into a prototype development area, just north of the main row of plants. There is no firm timeline for completion, as many of the company’s resources continue to focus on replacing Plants 5 and 6 over the next few years.
Andringa says it’s exciting to be growing again, especially considering what happened with the EF-3 tornado on July 19th.
