With the tennis courts and basketball courts projects nearing completion, the Knoxville Community School District is in the planning stages of their next project, improvements to Ken Locke Stadium.
Superintendent Cassi Pearson tells KNIA/KRLS News, the district is holding a community town hall informational meeting to obtain community input on the project on September 12th. Pearson also said that she thinks, with some needed safety improvements, the stadium can bring a lot more events to Knoxville such as younger kids activities, concerts, or other venue opportunities that can bring great life benefits to Knoxville. The meeting will take place at the Knoxville Performing Arts Center, beginning at 6pm.
