No injuries are reported at a hay bale fire near Columbia on Tuesday morning.
Firefighters were called just before 5 a.m. to a farm at Upton Street and 120th Avenue; several bales caught fire south of the main farm, and firefighters from the Columbia, Melcher-Dallas, Indiana Township, and Knoxville Township Rural Fire Departments responded to the scene and brought it under control.
The cause of the fire is under investigation; no buildings or large equipment were affected.
