With a win today, the Central College football team will make it to the halfway mark of the season with an undefeated record.  The Dutch host Buena Vista for homecoming at Ron and Joyce Schipper Stadium.
B-V shocked Central last year, 39-38 in overtime in Storm Lake.  In that game, Beaver quarterback Cole Miller threw for 358 yards, ran for 21 more, and accounted for four touchdowns.  He’s back calling the signals again this year, and Central Coach Jeff McMartin says he’s a major concern today.
“The big thing is to try to keep him in the pocket and keep him contained.  We’re going to change up looks and disguise coverages to try to keep him off-balance.  That’s something that’s worked well for us in the past and something we’re going to have to do today.”
Kickoff is at 1:00 in Pella, and today’s contest is the homecoming game.  Join Trevor Castle and George Wares for all of the action on 92.1 KRLS, beginning with pregame at 12:35.
