Central College debuts at No. 23 in the American Football Coaches Association Division III coaches’ poll.

Central, 5-0 overall, cracked the rankings after a 62-20 victory over Buena Vista University Saturday. The Dutch are also among the top vote-getters outside of the D3football.com top 25. It’s the first appearance for Central in the AFCA rankings since Sept. 26, 2016. Perennial power Mount Union is No. 1, followed by Mary Hardin-Baylor and St. Thomas.

The Dutch, 3-0 in American Rivers Conference play, travel to Lincoln, Nebraska Saturday for a 1 p.m. league game at Nebraska Wesleyan University, which can be heard live on 92.1 KRLS.
