The Pella City Council will review bids for Phase II of the Pella Sports Park project at their meeting this evening.

Three bids have been submitted for the approximately $860,000 in additions, with the city expected to cover up to 50% or $430,000 of that cost and Fields for our Future paying for the rest. The base bid work includes two new 210 foot baseball/softball fields, installation of a sidewalk from the main complex to the fields, extended overhang protection on all backstops, and a concrete walking and biking trail. The council will also consider a preliminary plat for the Bos Landen Estates, which outlines the proposed Vintage Cooperative development and 10 single family homes south of Bos Landen Drive and Utrecht Lahn. The document also details the requirements for the lots and needed infrastructure improvements.

The Pella City Council meeting begins at 7 p.m. this evening in the Public Safety Complex on Liberty Street.
