A family in Pella is seeking help after a diagnosis of a rare disease has set them back.

William Kincel received news on March 2 that he had Mantle Cell Lymphoma, a rare blood cancer that affects the white blood cells, that help fight off infections.

On March 14th–William’s 52nd Birthday, he was having a bone marrow biopsy and a port put in. The next day he had his first chemo treatment. Due to his condition, he exhausted all his medical leave and was terminated from his job of almost 20 years. His wife Toni says she is currently on continuous leave from her job to care for him.

“It has been financially and emotionally hard for us and we are ones that would help anybody out when we could,” she says “Unfortunately, we are now the ones needing help. Any donations would greatly be appreciated, as well as lots of prayers.”
