A flood warning has been issued for Southeastern Marion County and most of Mahaska County until 6:45 this evening.

Several rounds of heavy rain fell in the impacted area. Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms had produced heavy rainfall which will cause flooding. Doppler radar estimates
of 2 to 4 inches has fallen overnight through central Mahaska and southeast Marion counties. Additional rainfall amounts up to one half inch are possible this morning. An additional 2-3″ of rain is expected through Wednesday.
