When the PCM football team straps up Friday night in Osceola at Clarke, not only will their undefeated season be on the line, but the school record books could be rewritten.
Last week senior running back Wes Cummings tied the all time scoring mark at PCM with 49 career touchdowns. This week not only can the three-year starter break that mark, but also he is 122 yards away from holding the school’s career rushing record that is set at 3,304 yards. Cummings has led the 7-0 Mustangs in rushing with 849 yards and 14 touchdowns on the season. After the senior tied the touchdown record last week, head coach Greg Bonnett praised his work ethic.
“He is the type of kid that deserves everything he gets. Wes will be the first to tell you this is a team achievement, but he is a hard worker and whatever he does he will not be outworked.”
The chance for Cummings to etch himself into Mustang lore will get started at 7 p.m. Friday in Osceola.
