The Indianola School Board met in regular session Monday.
The board reviewed the enrollment numbers for the current school year, which shows a 2.18% increase in enrollment from 2017-18 bringing a total number of 3,494 students to the district. The board also heard a report from the School Safety Committee about the possibility of hiring a School Resource Officer in cooperation with the City of Indianola. No action was taken after hearing the report, but Superintendent Sathoff agreed to continue to talk with city officials and do further research on the subject. The board also heard from the HR and finance committees, appointed an audit committee, and were updated on the current facilities projects in the district.
