With the new administration building almost ready for use, the Indianola School District has a plan in place to use the current building for an innovative way to change learning and expand the curriculum.

Superintendent Art Sathoff tells KNIA News, the building will be used as an online learning center to help further integrate learning through technology.

“The goal with this to begin with is to replace the kind of canned products we buy for online learning. They have served their purpose but we just felt like we could write much more robust, aligned, and better content for online courses so students could feel like they are getting the same experience they would be in a regular classroom.”

Sathoff also said that there are currently a couple dozen teachers taking courses to become certified online educators.
