The vocal music and drama departments at Pella High School present The Sound of Music for their fall musical production.

Student Director Colton Vanzanten tells KRLS News they will share the classic tale about the von Trapp Family Singers in World War II-era Austria.

“The Sound of Music takes us through the life of Maria Rainer who is wanting to be a nun, and so goes to be a governess for Captain von Trapp and his kids, and throughout that she learns a lot and how to fall in love.”

Shows will be held at 7 p.m. each evening from Thursday, November 1st through Saturday, November 3rd at the Pella High School Auditorium. Tickets are available online at onthestage.com and cost $10 for adults and $5 for all students and children.
