The Indianola Public Library is hosting several events tonight, both in combination with and as an alternative to trick-or-treating for Beggar’s Night.

The Trunk or Treat event will begin at 5:30pm at the library, with the departments of the city of Indianola dressing up and decorating their equipment while giving out candy to participants. The library is also hosting a Teen Scream event for those too old to trick-or-treat. Alison Brown with the library tells KNIA News what the library has planned for teens who want to enjoy Halloween.

“Teens can run out and steal some hot dogs and candy from the trunk or treat event outside, but inside we’ll all be dressed up in our costumes watching scary movies, probably some YouTube, eating junk food, and playing some fun games, it’s going to be a ton of fun.”

Teen Scream runs from 5:30 to 7:30pm.
