Every cross country season is bound to have poor weather days and cancellations to arise, but this year Mother Nature was on another level.

There were numerous cancellations across the state and sometimes that can mess with a team in their preparation process. Pleasantville head coach Aaron Fichter tells KNIA Sports not only did his team respond well to the bad weather days but he also spun it into a positive.

“I actually thought we were fresh at the end of the year due to not having many meets. Obviously you want to be healthy and perform at your best at the end of the year and I thought that allowed us to do that and provided a silver lining for the cancellations.”

The Trojans bid farewell to 11 seniors.
