Habitat for Humanity of Marion County is continuing to pursue moving houses as a way to help those they serve with affordable housing.

Executive Director Robin Pfalzgraf tells KRLS News the latest homes they received are on Independence Street in Pella, donated by the developers of the Webster Park project along Main Street south of downtown. Pfalzgraf says they are moving one of the structures to Pleasantville for a family, while the other at 706 Independence is actually for sale to help pay off debt held by the non-profit organization. That structure would need to be moved from the site, and Habitat is searching for those with a plot of land to place the house.
