In order for the PCM football team to be playing for a state championship next week, they will have to find a way to slow down a balanced West Liberty offense on Saturday in a class 2A semifinal matchup.

After dropping three of their four non-district matchups, the Comets (8-3) swept through their district winning by an average of 27 points in their seven straight wins. Senior quarterback Seth Feldman leads the Comets throwing for 1,485 yards and 21 touchdowns. He also can beat you with his legs, rushing for a team-high 664 yards and 12 scores. Feldman has some weapons on the outside, with four receivers with at least 100 yards on the season. The Mustang (11-0) defense has been stingy all year long but gave up a season-high 34 points last week in their win over Williamsburg. PCM has given up an average of nine points per game in 2018.

Saturday’s matchup will get started at 7 p.m. at the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls. Listen to the play-by-play coverage on KNIA starting at 6:30 p.m.
