While 24 football teams are heading to the state semi-finals this weekend, the Knoxville Football Squad is one of the majority of teams that will wait until next season to see if they can make a playoff run. Coach Eric Kellar’s squad finished 3-6 on the season and Kellar tells KNIA/KRLS Sports he was pleased with his team on how they worked this season while being outmanned in most of their games. Only four seniors departed the program this season, meaning most of the team will return for next year. Kellar adds if they can work in the offseason along with their winter sports of basketball and wrestling, he is confident the Panthers can improve on their three wins next season.
