A team finds out what their true colors are when adversity hits. You can sulk about it or you can pick yourself up and stay the course.

The Pleasantville football team chose the latter after a tough start to the season and it paid off in the end winning two of their final three games including pushing eventual district champ Interstate-35 to the brink. Head Coach Mack Jorth tells KNIA Sports the team never wavered and that was a testament to the senior leadership on the squad.

“The team’s attitude, effort, and approach everyday in practice was set by all eight of our seniors. They set an atmosphere that was very positive and full of great experiences for everyone involved. It isn’t just about the wins, it’s about the process, and these guys made that process really enjoyable.”

Pleasantville finished with a 3-6 record.
