PCM finished a perfect season with a 28-7 state championship win in dominating fashion, as heard live on KNIA.
The Mustangs forced five turnovers of Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley, and four different players scored touchdowns for PCM, including Wes Cummings, Isaac Telfer, Preston VanWyk, and Brayton VanDyke, three of which were thrown by Reed Worth.
“I’m speechless,” an emotional Worth said postgame, with a few pauses in between. “I don’t know what to say right now…it’s been six years coming now, stepping in with these guys, I don’t what to say except I’m very thankful for everybody who put the time into me and this team.”
A pep rally will be held at approximately 7:30 p.m. Friday at the high school in Monroe for the state champions.
