Helping Hand of Indianola has been serving the residents of Indianola since 1982, with the mission to provide food and clothing for the residents of Indianola free of charge.
This Thanksgiving is no different, as the organization has been busy making sure families have enough to provide a Thanksgiving meal. Peggy Kruse with Helping Hand tells KNIA News they have served many area families so far, but they could always use more donations.
“We always need food, we can never have enough food donations around here especially around the holidays, but we can use money as well to go out and purchase the specific things we need that is always an option. As far as toys for kids during Christmas, we have an organization called Operation Christmas that will take care of that.”
Helping Hand will be closed Thanksgiving day and the following Saturday, opening back up at their normal times on Tuesday, November 27th. For more information on Helping Hand in Indianola, tune in to today’s Let’s Talk Indianola.
