In order for the PCM boys’ basketball team to find the success the football team did this fall, the Mustangs must get it done on the defensive end of the floor.

The Mustangs bring many players back from last year’s 16-6 squad including their top two scorers in Andrew Van Ryswyk and Reed Worth. Head Coach Fred Lorensen tells KRLS Sports he has a lot of athletic guys and they know how to score but the defense will determine how good they can be.

“Two years ago we weren’t very good defensively. Last year we were improved and this year we have a chance to be a great defensive team if they continue to work as hard as they have.”

The Mustangs open up the year Friday against Saydel.
