Coming into the 2018-19 season, the Indianola boys basketball team knew that their top scorers Evan Gauger and Quinn Vesey would have productive seasons, scoring 19.2 and 13.3 points per game respectively.

A question mark for the Indians this season would be if one of the other players could step up and provide that other scoring option, and in Indians 69-45 win over Fort Dodge Monday, that player was Tyce Johnson. Johnson scored 21 points, including going 6 for 9 from long range. Garrett Aiello also put in 6 points and 6 rebounds in the effort. The 1-0 Indians will next take on Norwalk on their home court.
