The members of the Knoxville Community Chorus have been singing Christmas carols well before the holiday season, getting ready for one of their big performances of the year.

“It’s Beginning to Sound a Lot Like Christmas” is the name for their annual holiday concerts, to be held on Friday, December 7th at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, December 9th at 2:00 p.m.

Heidi Farmer from the Chorus tells KNIA/KRLS News they draw in singers of all ages from all over the area; some are members of other choirs, other aren’t, but all share a passion for singing or playing music and are happy to be a part of the Community Chorus.

“It was started as a group of people who really enjoyed singing and wanted to be able to kind of share that with the community,” Farmer says. “And that’s one of our favorite things about doing our different concerts, and then also the community activities throughout the year, is being able to share that with not only our loved ones and family but the community as well.”

Both performances will be held at First United Methodist Church in Knoxville.
