The Indianola Police Department continues its investigation into the bank robbery Thursday afternoon at City State Bank.
The suspect is an African-American male, between the height of 5-6 to 5-8, 160-170 lb, wearing a red hoodie and jeans, and brandishing a weapon.
Indianola Police and the Warren County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and began a search for the suspect, who has not been apprehended.
In an update this morning, Captain Brian Sher tells KNIA/KRLS News that the man entered the bank, brandished the handgun at bank staff, and demanded money. He then fled on foot. The man was wearing heavy makeup.
Sher says physical evidence left at the scene is being examined. If you have any information on the robbery, call the Indianola Police Department at 515-961-9400.
